Presentation of unstamped art envelope decorated with an ornament consisting of veterans' and volunteers' (participants of art-rehabilitation classes of the ARTREHAB project) works fragments.
On the occasion of the Armed Forces Day of Ukraine on December 4 at 14:00 in the Museum of Post, located at 16 Andriy Sheptytsky Str., will be a presentation of an unstamped art envelope issued by the national postal operator together with the charitable organization ARTREHAB. The envelope is decorated with fragments of works by five veterans and volunteers; an ornament was drawn during art rehabilitation classes in ARTREHAB.
The purpose of creating the envelope – the first joint project of "Ukrposhta" and the ARTREHAB charitable organization – is to draw public attention to the problems of veterans' rehabilitation and the importance of art-therapeutic measures in this process. During the event, a press briefing will be held by "Ukrposhta" management, the Ukrainian artist ZINAЇDA (thefounder of ARTREHAB), veterans and volunteers – authors of fragments of the envelope ornament as well as representatives of the State Institution "Hospital for the War Veterans "Forest Glade".
Such events are very important for boys and girls who have returned from the war. They demonstrate the support forveterans in society, show that we value them and bow to them. And this, in turn, greatly helps the process of their adaptation after the war.
An exhibition of works by veterans and volunteers, created during ARTREHAB art classes, will be held during a month in the Museum of Post. Admission to the museum is free. Open hours: Tuesday – Thursday (from 9 am till 4 pm).
ARTREHAB is a charity organization that helps people, who find themselves in difficult life situations, in their psychological recovery. ARTREHAB conducts art-rehabilitation classes according to the artist ZINAЇDA's method called "Red Thread Technique". At present, ARTREHAB works with veterans and volunteers of ATO JFO and their families.
