Ukrposhta has issued an art envelope decorated with ornaments of the ARTREHUB project participants’ works

On the occasion of the Armed Forces Day of Ukraine on December 4 was presented an unstamped art envelope issued by Ukrposhta together with the charitable organization Artrehub and artist ZINAЇDA.

The envelope is decorated with fragments of works by five veterans and volunteers – Olexandr Sobol, Taras Hlushko, Vadym Boiko, Ruslan Borovyk and Larysa Mykytion; an ornament was drawn during art rehabilitation classes.

The purpose of the project is to draw public attention to the problems of veterans’ rehabilitation and the importance of art-therapeutic measures in this process.

“I am glad that even more people will see the works of veterans. The activity of public organization Artrehub is based on the practice of art rehabilitation according to the author’s method based on decorative and applied techniques of traditional arts of Ukraine. The idea of using artistic practices in psychological rehabilitation arose because of my deep beliefs that creative potential is an auxiliary force, an important resource for the restoration and harmonization of psychological state. Our team, consisting of managers, psychologists and artists, regularly conducts classes in hospitals, rehabilitation and children's psychological centres, as well as participates in art events with children with special needs" said the founder of Artrehub – ZINAЇDA at the official ceremony of cancellation of a stamp on the envelope.

“We were looking forward to this day. The drawings of our participants are now on the envelopes. As a coach, I am proud of everyone's work. It is a pleasure to recall the moments when we created the works I saw at the exhibition dedicated to the presentation of the envelope created by Ukrposhta and Artrehub. As the author of one of the works that came into the envelope design, I am proud that it will become a part of 50,000 messages. This is how I see Zinaїda's project that uses the "red thread" technique. This message will be passed from hand to hand with love to the people who protect our land, with love to everyone who joined the project. We have all been united by a red thread of love” added volunteer Larysa Mykytion.

Everyone at the presentation was able to sign and send a letter of peace to international organizations and goodwill ambassadors. The flashmob #free_from_war has to remind the world of the importance of peace and the price our military officers have to pay to restore it.

During the year, the envelope can be purchased at any post office.

From December 5, 2019 to January 10, 2020, at the Museum of Post at 16/4 Andriy Sheptytskyi Str. will last the exhibition of veterans and volunteers’ works created during art rehabilitation classes in Artrehub. Admission to the museum is free. Open hours: Tuesday – Thursday (from 9 am till 4 pm).

ARTREHAB is a charity organization that helps people, who find themselves in difficult life situations, in their psychological recovery. ARTREHUB conducts art-rehabilitation classes according to the artist ZINAЇDA’s method called "Red Thread Technique". At present, ARTREHUB works with veterans and volunteers of ATO JFO and their families.
